Brain Dance from @brokenanatomyperfumes is a big gust of fresh spicy air that calms down into a whispering forest floor. A seat by a giant ancient tree covered in thick moss. You can hear the forest breathing. Cold inhaled air and a warm exhaled breath. Dirt and leaves between your toes. Copper rays of light coming in between the canopy and shinning on broken bark. A game of green and brown.”

“I was incredibly excited to receive my bottle of Brain Dance a few days ago, especially since I had never sampled anything from the line before and had not heard much review-wise. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful bottle, which of course, came adorned with the signature “brain” cap. My thinking was that I’d add a cool bottle to my collection, if nothing more, but as it turns out, this fragrance has quite a bit of likeability to it! I wore Brain Dance twice to work and had all of my coworkers sample it and it was universally well-received, which was a good start. Now, if I were to classify Brain Dance, I’d say it’s an elegant and refined aquatic, but it’s also full of a lot depth for a scent in this range. That being said, on first spray, I do get some Aqua di Gio vibes but that fades pretty quickly to reveal a prominent anise note, which I adore. The anise then begins to dance with cardamom, waltzing along smoothly and flawlessly to a tune of their own making to reveal a glorious ozonic note. Now, this is where it gets really good! The combination of the spices with the ozonic notes give me the distinct impression of the smell of a rainstorm. I soon begin to feel like I’m breathing in pure ozonated air filled with lightning thats accompanied by the most glorious downpour! ⚡️ This is when I just sit back and breathe it in, feeling completely transported to another place.”
